Most probable version of the origin of this prototype is that is was created from the 0523GT, a 250 GT Boano coupe. Nickname of this prototype was 'Papero' (means fool). After a series of tests further history of the car is not certain. There is a possibility that the car was used for the first real GTO, the 3223GT. That car was said to be build in 1961 but delivered in 1962 so there was enough room to remake the car. |
