A transition model built between the end of 1963 and the beginning of 1964
using a new chassis and a four-litre engine instead of the three-litre
Tipo 250 for a more flexible ride, the 330 America offered back-up power
for an increasingly numerous range of accessories such as
air-conditioning. The coachwork looks no different to that of the final
250 GT 2+2 series and the America of its name hints at Ferrari’s desire
to break into the US market with GTs as well as sports models.
