This car did the F355 World Tour.
The F 355 set off from New
York, and returned there about three months later, after having visited
the capitals of five continents. After the United States and Canada, the
tour moved to Europe, and from there to Turkey, the Gulf, South Africa,
Australia, and up through the Pacific countries to Malaysia, Thailand,
China and Japan. From there to South America and then back to the USA,
from Los Angeles to Chicago and New York. It covered 25,000 km on all
types of road and in the worst climatic conditions.
The F 355 was
driven by a group of journalists from the countries being visited.
Journalists not part of the group involved in the tour, were able to
take the wheel of a F 355 identical to the one on the World Tour, at the
major stages in each country. The car carried the flags of the countries
passed through, and the logos of the trip’s sponsors.
